 Black pepper prices increase to Rs. 400 per kg

The price of black pepper went up to Rs. 400 per kg-level for ungarbled varieties of black pepper, after a gap of two years in the Kochi terminal market. The traders have attributed reasons for the price rise.

A 1000 year old chicken egg found in Israel  

A 1000-year-old chicken egg was recently found in Israel. A team of archeologist from the Israel Antiquities Authority has discovered this 100-year-old-egg in a salvage excavation in the town of Yavne, while excavating an ancient cesspit. 

Indian Army Purchases Jharkhand Farmer’s Bumper Watermelon Harvest

Due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown, a 25-year-old Jharkhand farmer was unable to sell his bumper watermelon harvest of 5 tonnes hence he offered the whole of his produce to soldiers of the Sikh Regimental Centre (SRC) at Ramgarh.

 

Free Rental Scheme: Farmers will get Tractors and Other Agriculture Equipment during Kharif Season

the Rajasthan agriculture department is offering agriculture equipment such as tractors and sowing machines to small-scale farmers through a free rental programme during the upcoming kharif seasonFrom June 1 to July 31, the programme will be open to small and marginal farmers with land holdings of up to 2.5 acres, according to Agriculture Commissioner Dr Om Prakash. Farmers will be permitted to use agriculture equipment such as ploughs, rotavators, cultivators, and seed-cum-fertilizer drill machines under the programme. A single farmer, on the other hand, can place only one order.
