 लेण्टाना का प्रभाव इतना हो गया है कि बांदीपुर नेशनल पार्क में 60% क्षेत्र में यह फैले हुए हैं जिससे कि जंगली जानवरों  के आहार की समस्या पैदा हो गई तथा जंगली जानवर यदि इसका सेवन करता है तो इससे लीवर सम्बन्धित रोग होने से जानवर मर रहे हैं 

इनको  नष्ट करने के लिए जंगलों में आग लगे जा रही है जिससे कि छोटे जीवों को खत्म हो रहे तथा बड़े जानवर आबादी क्षेत्र की ओर प्रस्थान कर रहा है और वनस्पति का दोहन हो रहा है जो पशुओं आबादी क्षेत्र की तरफ आ जाते हैं  तथा वहां  शरारती तत्वों द्वारा क्रुरता की जा रही है 

कैसे रोके इनके प्रभाव को?

रसायनों का उपयोग करने से वनस्पति पर भी प्रभाव पड़ रहा है 

तथा मैन्युअल उखाड़ने से पर वहां  के मजदूरों के जान का खतरा रहता है 

इसकी रोकथाम के लिए जैविक नियंत्रण? 

हां  जैविक कीट का उपयोग पर इसके प्रभाव को कम किया जा सकता है क्योंकि यह दूसरी वनस्पति पर प्रभाव नहीं डालते तथा मैन्युअल का भी उपयोग ज्यादा नहीं होता
